Session Description

We are thrilled to introduce to you the all new Tröegs Second Cut Mango Double IPA:

(American Double IPA / 8.5% ABV) We Taste: juicy mango, pineapple, honey As the hop growing season flourishes, farmers dust off their pruning shears. Trimming back those extra shoots helps bolster the bines for a rich harvest. Second Cut Mango Double IPA – a mouthful of silky Simcoe hops and juicy mango – is a nod to those rituals, without which the world would be a less hoppy place.

For this edition of Tappd, we are honored to have been send a special “brewery only” keg of Tröegs First Cut Mango IPA. Fans will remember this brew as a former seasonal brew from Tröegs. We are happy to be able to offer you this blast from the past during our inaugural Tapped session here at HiWay.

Tappd, the new event series at HiWay Pizza Pub is a simple and fun pay-as-you-go series where we’ll “tap” one or more kegs that are new, special, famed, and/or exclusive and celebrate them with a tap time and special release celebration.

On Orval Day, devotees of Orval Trappist Ale – and some folks who maybe have not tried it yet – convene to celebrate one of the world’s unique and highly-respected beers.

Join us here at HiWay in celebration of this damn tasty and historical brew!!! For #OrvalDay2024 we'll awaken some vintage selections from our stash that have been asleep in our climate controlled beer cellar. We'll offer these up (as long as they last) along with this year's current vintage.

We'll also have a few giveaways to be had while supplies last. Mark your calendar and be sure to stop in for a bottle or two!

In addition to Graffiti Highway, we'll also be pouring First Cut IPA, Little ‘Nator, Double Nugget and Perpetual on tap along with a few other selections.

We'll have Graffiti Highway available to take home our retail bottle shop along with a healthy selection of Tröegs brews.

‘tis the season for one Mad Happy Hour!

Join us on Thursday, December. 14 from 4:30p to 6:30p as the Tröegs Mad Elf makes his annual holiday stop at HIWay with his many faces of madness during our Tröegs Most Wonderful HiWay Mad Happies event.

Experience Mad Elf variations with our Flight of The Mad Elf where you can experience a sample serving of each variation as well as custom hand-poured blends of Mad Elf along with an accompanying tutored tasting mat. We’ll have a a few other selections on draft to satisfy the hopheads as well.

As always, most draft selections will be discounted during our Aperitivo Happy Hour from 4:30p - 6:30p.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT WEDDING
The original Oktoberfest celebrated the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The event occurred on October 12, 1810 and all residents of Munich were invited to the countryside to join the gala. The festivities last for five days, and ended with a horse race.

Today, we're celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month with Jefferson's Bourbon.

Come say hello to the Jefferson's representative and have a drink from our feature cocktail menu. In addition to the menu of hand-crafted cocktails and individual expression pours, we'll also offer a Jefferson's Journey Flight for you to experience the nuances of each expression.

It's our Aperitivo Happy Hour, so that means we'll offer $2 OFF several Jefferson's menu selections.

Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. They were continuing a family whiskey tradition that goes back to Trey’s 8th generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the “production and sales of spirituous liquors.” His curious and experimental mindset has allowed him to push the boundaries of bourbon whiskey. Upholding tradition, yet always discovering new possibilities.

Our online event will include a tutored tasting of Yards Holiday Hazy Double IPA. We’ll technically break down the beer and get to know more about this very limited small batch series first draft brew. 

We'll also catch up with our friends at Yards and hear what they've been up to in Philly at their beautiful new brewhouse and taproom. We'll even try to get a sneak peek at what they have in store for us all from next years 2021 brew calendar.

Add on our HiWay Snack box to your ticket and we’ll include some goodies for you to munch on during the party. We’ll talk about the food and why they’ve been chosen to compliment the beer.
