For our fourth edition of Tappd. we are thrilled welcome back our friends Allagash Brewing Company. Our buddy Alan Wildy from Allagash will be live and direct in-house for this event as we tap and pour three tasty selections alla spina (on tap):
Once Upon An Orchard: Cherries & Raspberries - Draft
(Dark Sour Ale Aged with Cherries & Raspberries / 7.7% ABV) Once, a traveling group of brewers happened upon a farmer stuck in a ditch. His cart had too many fresh raspberries and cherries. The brewers helped to push his cart out, but he soon was stuck again. So, as payment, the farmer gave them bushels and bushels of berries, which the brewers decided to age in a dark, tart beer. The result was a rich, complex beer filled with notes of fresh cherry, ripe raspberry, pie spice, and a hint of cocoa. And they sipped it happily ever after.
Two Lights - Draft
(American Lager with Sauvignon Blanc Must and Champagne Yeast / 6.7% ABV) Two Lights is an ode to two of the more refreshing drinks of summer: cold beer and sparkling wine. The finished beer’s aromas of pear and light hops pair with a flavor profile that’s a mix of tropical fruit and the snappy spritz of a freshly picked grape.
White - Draft
(Belgian Witbier / 5.2% ABV) Our award-winning interpretation of a Belgian-style wheat beer is brewed with oats, malted wheat, and raw wheat for a hazy “white” appearance. Spiced with our own special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel, Allagash White upholds the Belgian tradition of beers that are both complex and refreshing.
Get Happy Hour will be from 4:30p-6:30p with discounts on select beer, wine and spirts. (Trillium selections will not be included in happy hour discounts) Come early, stay late!
