this week’s wax: MUSIC - 311
This week we explore Music, the debut studio album by American rock band 311, released on February 9, 1993. The album was certified gold in 1999 by the RIAA.
We present our weekly “WAX” series In the spirit of the “Jazz Kissa” concept in Japan, we celebrate essential vinyl albums played through our HiFi sound system in our acoustically treated lounge with albums played start to finish. Two separate listening sessions of the weekly selected album occur on Thursdays with needle drops at 5:30p and 7:30p.
Omaha, Nebraska’s alternative-rockers, 311, recorded Music in December 1992 and January 1993 at Ocean Studio in Burbank, California, and later released through Capricorn Records. Although a few independent EPs were recorded prior, it was Music that gained mainstream traction for 311.

PARKING DETAILS
Parking is available in a combination of THREE private lots. Lot #1 located in front of HiWay; Lot #2 located behind HiWay; and Lot #3 located next door to HiWay in the West College Centre parking lot (1315 West College Avenue). Please do not park on the grass, or along the sides of Coral Street behind HiWay.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, or otherwise.
